Grandma gets weighed once a month and last month she weighed 75 lbs. Hospice tells me the nursing home reports she isn't eating or drinking very much. Each week I talk to them, they seem to try to prepare me. Her speech continues to become limited and uses mostly sounds and small words such as no, yes and NO! She is SO tiny you can't imagine it. I purchased some new clothes this week because her current slacks are sliding down as she moves around in her chair and her shirts are truly bagging on her. She also doesn't appreciate me patting on her or rubbing her. I was brushing her hair this weekend and she didn't want that either. I think she is uncomfortable.

Kellie, just wanted to let you know we are still thinking of you and your family. I love the picture of Ruby's hands that you posted and what you said about everyhting they had done. I just lost my dad in Jan. I miss him in my life so much. I know you miss the way she used to be. It's so hard to see them like this. Take care of yourself and give Ruby a kiss for me.
